Join us for a comprehensive exploration of Edinburgh, where we will discover the city's most significant monuments and museums. Our itinerary includes visits to the Castle, the renowned Scottish National Gallery, and The Georgian House.
Tour Details
To ensure you experience all that the Scottish capital has to offer, we will convene at the Johnnie Walker store on Princes Street at the designated time, setting the stage for an engaging tour of Edinburgh's top tourist attractions.
We will initiate our journey at Charlotte Square, followed by a stroll through Rose Street and George Street. As you navigate this vibrant area, our guides will share fascinating insights into Edinburgh's history, including stories about the notable Hotel Balmoral and the stunning Scott Monument.
Next, we will visit the National Gallery of Scotland, home to masterpieces from Scotland’s acclaimed artists across the ages. Prepare to be amazed by works from renowned figures such as Sir Henry Raeburn, Alexander Nasmyth, and the talented Glasgow Boys & Girls.
Following this cultural immersion, you will have some free time to enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants in the city center. Afterward, we'll delve into the Old Town, where you will find Edinburgh's most renowned landmarks. Prepare to visit Greyfriars Kirkyard, the iconic Royal Mile, and the splendid St Giles' Cathedral.
We'll conclude our tour with a visit to Edinburgh Castle, where we will embark on a guided tour of this historical fortress perched on an extinct volcano. Inside, you will explore St Margaret's Chapel, the prison cells, and the Great Hall, and experience the famous One O'Clock Gun.
At the end of this 5 to 5.5-hour journey through Edinburgh’s rich history, we will say our farewells at the castle exit, bringing our insightful tour to a close.
