At the designated time, your journey will begin at the visitor center of the Edzna archaeological site. From this point, we will embark on a thorough examination of one of the most significant Mayan cities in Mexico.
Our exploration initiates with an overview of this historic city, dating back to the Classic period. We will uncover its innovative hydraulic engineering and stop by the stelae museum to observe notable monolithic structures while learning about the traditions and culture of this remarkable civilization.
The tour will continue as we explore the key monuments of Edzna, such as Casa Grande, the central plaza, and the impressive ball court, flanked by two grand edifices. Not to be missed is the stunning five-story stepped pyramid, characterized by its distinctive crested tops, which is sure to captivate your attention.
After an hour and a half of exploration, our guided tour of Edzna will conclude back at the starting point.
Tour With Lunch Option
Choosing this option allows you to savor a traditional lunch within the indigenous community of Uzahzil following your guided tour of Edzna. Here, you will have the chance to experience local delicacies.
Uzahzil is a short 20-minute walk away, or you have the option to drive if preferred. This extended tour with lunch lasts around two hours, and upon your arrival, you will receive a warm welcome from community members.

Important information
At the time you have selected, we will meet at the archaeological site of Edzna (México 188, Campeche, Mexico). We recommend being at the meeting point 10 minutes in advance at the meeting point to avoid delays in the tour.
If you have booked the option with lunch you should head to the Uzahzil indigenous community (Carretera Federal Cayal-Edzná, Uzahsil-Edzná, 24536 Campeche, Camp., Mexico) after the tour.
Important Information
We recommend bringing a bottle of water, comfortable clothing and footwear, a hat, trainers, sunscreen, mosquito repellent and a raincoat in the rainy season.
