La Bufadora Kayak Tour

Join us for an exhilarating kayaking adventure at La Bufadora in Punta Banda, where we will navigate in front of the prominent marine geyser in the Pacific Ocean. Get ready to be impressed!

Tour Overview

Our journey begins at the pedestrian bridge located at the Ensenada cruise terminal. From there, we will board a vehicle that transports us to La Bufadora, nestled on the Punta Banda Peninsula. Let’s set off!

After approximately an hour of travel, we’ll arrive at the site where the kayaks, designed specifically for ocean excursions, await us. Prior to launching into the water, we’ll participate in a concise safety briefing, where we’ll grasp essential paddling techniques, steering methods, and proper water positioning.

Once prepared, we will kick off our kayak journey, which lasts between 1 and 1.5 hours, gliding through the Mexican Pacific as we approach La Bufadora, the largest marine geyser in the Pacific, and one of the most significant geysers globally.

From our vantage point on the water, we’ll closely examine the geological formation that facilitates this spectacular event. The eruption occurs due to an underwater chimney linked to a cavern below the surface. As the waves crash powerfully, compressed air and water are forcefully ejected upward, creating a spectacular jet that reaches heights of over 20 m (66 ft).

Experiencing this natural wonder from sea level allows us to hear the thunderous sounds of water surging between the rocks, feeling the raw power of the waves up close. A truly outstanding experience!

When the time comes for a meal, we’ll return to shore where you’ll have the option to savor a lunch that features fresh lobster, oysters, or ceviche, based on the day’s catch. We’ll also provide you with a refreshing craft beer to complement your meal.

After enjoying a total of 4 hours of adventure, we will commence our return to the initial meeting point. Until next time!
