Chocolarium: The Joy Factory of Munz and Minor

Located in the town of Flawil within St. Gallen canton, the Chocolarium serves as the “factory of joy” for Munz & Minor, part of the Maestrani family. All aficionados of Swiss chocolate are invited!

When you reserve your admission to the Chocolarium, you will have the opportunity to embark on a journey through several themed spaces. The experience begins in the introductory area, where the philosophy of Maestrani will be shared, highlighting a company established in 1852 that has been valued for its chocolate-making artistry for over five generations.

Following this, you will traverse a glass-enclosed gallery that extends around 80 m (262 ft), designed as an industrial observation corridor. In this space, without altering the environmental conditions necessary for chocolate production, you can observe the functioning of the production lines responsible for manufacturing, transporting, and packaging delicacies like Prügeli and Munz bars.

The excursion will advance through interactive areas focused on the sensory aspects of chocolate, culminating in the “happiness space,” featuring five flowing chocolate fountains offering an array from white chocolates to rich dark varieties.

To wrap up your visit, you will find yourself in the chocolate boutique that presents over 300 products directly sourced from the factory.

Operating Hours

The Chocolarium factory operates under the following schedule:

• Tuesday to Friday: 10 am to 6 pm
• Saturdays and Sundays: 10 am to 5 pm
• Last entry is one hour prior to closing time.

Important Information

If you hold a Raiffeisen card or a Swiss Travel Pass, you can enjoy complimentary access to the Chocolarium. Just present your pass at the ticket counter to receive your entry. Please note that online bookings are not available.
