Tuscany Villages Day Trip & Wine Tour

During this full-day excursion, participants will have the opportunity to discover the province of Siena, delving into the picturesque towns of Monteriggioni, Pienza, and Montepulciano. Each village is celebrated for its inviting ambiance and exceptional culinary offerings. Additionally, two wine tastings will embellish the experience.

Day Trip Overview

Our journey begins at the scheduled hour at the Villa Costanza bus station. Once the group assembles, we will set off for our adventure, kicking off with a visit to Monteriggioni.

Upon arrival, you will have 40 minutes of leisure time to enjoy breakfast or simply relax before making our way to a nearby vineyard. Here, you can partake in your first tasting, featuring three types of wine, olive oil, and fresh bread, showcasing local flavors.

As lunchtime approaches, we will gather to savor a meal comprising charcuterie, cheeses, pasta accompanied by traditional Tuscan ragù, along with water and coffee to cleanse the palate. A delightful experience awaits!

Following lunch, we will proceed to Pienza, famously referred to as the “ideal city” due to its harmonious Renaissance design orchestrated by Pope Pius II. You will be granted one hour and 20 minutes to roam freely, exploring highlights such as the splendid palaces along Corso Rossellino and the magnificent 15th-century Santa Maria Assunta Cathedral.

Our next destination is Montepulciano, where you’ll be allotted 1 hour and 45 minutes to appreciate the remarkable Renaissance architecture and sacred sites. Noteworthy is the fact that scenes from New Moon in the Twilight Saga were filmed in this enchanting locale! We will visit a local winery, offering insights into the region's prized wines, particularly the illustrious Brunello, followed by a tasting of four wines paired with regional delicacies.

The day will wrap up as we make our way back to the original meeting point after an immersive 11.5-hour journey.
