Iguaçu Falls: Argentinan & Brazilian Sides
Description
Embark on an exploration of the Argentinian and Brazilian perspectives of Iguaçu Falls with this day tour from Foz do Iguaçu, where we will navigate through the prime viewpoints within this stunning natural park.
Details of the Day Trip
Are you eager to witness the complete splendor of Iguaçu Falls? At the scheduled time, we will meet you at your accommodation in Foz do Iguaçu. Once we gather, we will initiate our excursion to the Argentinian side of these magnificent waterfalls.
Upon arrival and completing the necessary immigration procedures, we will commence our journey along the upper trail, a footbridge spanning the Iguaçu River that grants us an aerial perspective of the cascades. This route offers outstanding views of the falls amidst the lush greenery surrounding them. Be ready to snap some photos; the grandeur of the landscape is truly remarkable.
Following this segment, we will retrace our steps to the foot of the falls. Here, the power of the rushing water will be palpable, and you might even get a refreshing splash from the mist rising up. We will traverse the Devil's Throat, one of the most spectacular locations where nature seems to manifest its fullest expression. Subsequently, we’ll board the ecological train that will transport us through the park to the very last station.
After our train journey, a short walk of over 1 kilometer (0.6 miles) will lead us to the viewpoint of the tallest waterfall within the Argentinian section of Iguaçu Falls.
When hunger strikes, you will have some free time to dine at the park’s “La Selva” restaurant. Once we've reenergized, we will return to our vehicle to make our way to the border and transition to the Brazilian side of Iguaçu Falls. From this vantage point, we’ll enjoy sweeping views from a different perspective, embarking on a 2.5-hour hike along the natural path.
As the hike concludes, we will board the park’s bus to arrive at the Trilha das Cataratas station, where another walking route will take us to the main viewpoint. Here, we will behold a direct view of the Devil's Throat alongside panoramic vistas of the river. To cap off our adventure on the Brazilian side, we’ll ascend via the panoramic lift.
If you are feeling adventurous and have the energy, you may opt for an off-road excursion and a boat ride on the Lajeado Macuco River. Alternatively, if you choose to forgo these activities, you will have between 2 to 4 hours of unstructured time to leisurely explore the park—which is bound to be enjoyable!
At the end of the day, we will journey back to your accommodation, pausing at the visitor center for a snack or a drink. Our time together will conclude after a fulfilling total of 11 hours.
