Iguaçu Falls: Argentinan & Brazilian Sides
Description
Embark on a captivating journey through the Argentinian and Brazilian perspectives of Iguaçu Falls with this comprehensive day trip originating from Foz do Iguaçu, where we will explore the premier viewpoints of this magnificent natural park.
Day Trip Overview
Are you eager to experience the full splendor of Iguaçu Falls? If that’s the case, we will collect you from your Foz do Iguaçu hotel at the arranged time. Once assembled, we will commence our adventure towards the striking Argentinian side of these remarkable waterfalls.
Upon arrival and after completing the necessary immigration checks, we will embark on the upper trail, which is an elevated walkway over the Iguaçu River, offering breathtaking views of the waterfalls from a higher vantage point. Throughout this path, expect to be captivated by the stunning waterfalls and the lush green vistas that envelop them. Don’t forget your camera; the stunning landscapes deserve to be captured.
Following this initial exploration, we will descend to the base of the falls, where the immense power of the water will be palpable, and a refreshing mist may envelop us. Afterwards, we will board the ecological train that will journey through the park to its last station.
Post train journey, we’ll take a walk of just over one kilometer (0.6 miles) towards the viewpoint of the tallest waterfall in the Argentinian section of Iguaçu Falls.
As hunger strikes, you will have leisure time to enjoy a meal at the park's “La Selva” restaurant. Refreshed and recharged, we will return to our vehicle to cross the border over to the Brazilian side of Iguaçu Falls. Here, a different panorama awaits as we embark on a 2.5-hour hike along the natural trail.
Upon concluding our hike, we’ll take the park's bus to arrive at the Trilha das Cataratas station, from where we will follow another short walking route to the primary viewpoint. To top off our experience on the Brazilian side of the falls, we can access the panoramic lift.
If you still have some energy to spare, an optional off-road tour and a boat ride on the Lajeado Macuco River are available. Alternatively, those who prefer to enjoy their time can explore the park at leisure for about 2 to 4 hours—you will surely find it captivating!
As the day concludes, we will return to the hotel with a stop at the visitor center where you can grab a snack or a drink. This memorable experience will wrap up in approximately 11 hours.
