Activity Overview

Our journey begins at the designated meeting point on Rúa Manuel Murguía in Foz. Here, you will receive all necessary kayaking gear along with a concise briefing on safety measures and paddling techniques, ensuring you embark on this adventure fully prepared.

Once equipped, we’ll launch into the water and commence our 2-hour exploration of the Foz estuary. We will paddle along the shoreline adjacent to Barreiros, immersing ourselves in the breathtaking natural beauty of this protected environment.

As we navigate the waters, our destination will be Fondás Beach and its vibrant marshes. This location serves as an essential habitat for a variety of local wildlife. If we remain observant, we may encounter numerous bird species that inhabit or visit the estuary, including the impressive curlew, the great blue heron, spoonbills, and several others!

After a rewarding paddle and the opportunity to observe wildlife in a tranquil setting, we will return to our starting point, wrapping up this enriching experience.
