Connemara & Diamond Hill Day Trip

Your journey begins as we pick you up from the Hyde Hotel in Galway at 10 am, setting sail towards the breathtaking region of Connemara. Prepare for a day filled with exploration and beauty within one of Ireland's designated national parks.

After approximately an hour of travel, we will pause in the charming village of Leenane. Here, you'll have the opportunity to wander through its serene streets. If you’re in need of a refreshment, consider enjoying an Irish coffee or whisky at one of the local establishments.

Continuing on, we will make our way towards Ireland's unique fjord. The stunning Killary Fjord acts as a natural division between the counties of Galway and Mayo, offering spectacular views that await your gaze!

Upon reaching the village of Letterfrack, you will enjoy two hours of free time to explore the park. Feel free to hike up to Diamond Hill, selecting from one of three routes that vary in length and difficulty to match your preferences. There will also be ample time to grab refreshments and sandwiches before you embark on your hike.

Following your two-hour hike, we'll regroup to begin our return journey to Galway, taking a scenic route along Connemara's gorgeous coastline, where stunning vistas will be on display.

As we conclude our day, we'll make a brief stop in the Gaelic village of An Spidéal. Here, you’ll have around 15 minutes to leisurely wander its streets and appreciate the characteristic thatched cottages.

Our day trip wraps up as we arrive back in the center of Galway by 5:30 pm, where we will bid our farewells.
