What to Anticipate

On the day of the tour, we'll meet you at Kinlay Hostel located in downtown Galway. Our journey will commence as we travel southward along the Wild Atlantic Way, which showcases some of Ireland's most astonishing landscapes. Throughout the trip, we will pass through quaint villages such as Clarenbridge, Kilcogan, Ballindereen, and Ballyvaughan, renowned for their medieval landmarks, 16th-century homes, and ties to traditional Irish folklore.

The Cliffs of Moher

Our initial destination is the majestic Cliffs of Moher. Spanning over 8 kilometers (5 miles) and reaching heights of 210 meters (688 feet), these cliffs are revered as one of the most remarkable natural formations both in Ireland and globally. Keep an eye out for the native birds in the area, such as cormorants and puffins that frequent the cliffs!

The Aran Islands: Inisheer

Following our encounter with the breathtaking cliffs and ample opportunity for photographs, we will proceed to the town of Doolin. Here, we will board a ferry that will transport us to Inisheer, the smallest of the three Aran Islands. During this half-hour voyage, stay attentive, as the dolphins are known to appear in these waters!

Upon arrival, you will have the chance to discover at your leisure. Despite its small size, Inisheer offers numerous attractions. Immerse yourself in the Irish heritage and relish the verdant landscapes. You will also have the opportunity to visit the ruins of St. Cavan's Church, tracing back to the 10th century, as well as the Plassey shipwreck, a remarkable 600-ton vessel that came ashore during a storm in the 1960s!

After your exploration of the island, we will return to the mainland. The return journey offers yet another chance to appreciate the Cliffs of Moher from a different vantage point—be sure to capture the moment! Once we land back, you will enjoy an additional hour of free time to visit the summit at your own pace.

Finally, we will board the bus once more and head back to Galway, concluding the tour after approximately 10 hours of exploration.
