Description

Chamonix is one of the world’s most famous locations for mountain sports. Discover this Alpine town on this tour and enjoy the spectacular views of Mount Blanc.

Chamonix Tour

After meeting up at the central bus station (Gare Routiere) in Geneva, we'll head to Chamonix. After an hour and a half’s drive, we'll reach the French mountain town that, for more than 100 years, has been one of the most important mountaineering and winter sports centers in the world.

Upon arrival, you'll have 2 hours of free time to explore Chamonix at your own pace. At noon, we'll reconvene with the guide for a 40-minute guided tour.

During our walking tour through Chamonix, we will discover the town’s main attractions, including Saint Michel’s Church and the statue of Jacques Balmat, the first mountaineer to summit Mount Blanc. The tour will provide insights into the history of Chamonix and its evolution into a key Alpine tourist location in the 19th Century.

After the tour, you'll have additional free time to enjoy Chamonix. Feel free to wander through the charming streets lined with wooden houses, savor delicious alpine cuisine, and explore the many shops in this world-renowned ski resort.

We will return to Geneva around 6:15 pm.
