Geneva International District Bus Tour
Description
During this scenic journey, you will embark on a bus ride through the international district of Geneva, nestled alongside the stunning Lake Geneva. This area is home to numerous organizations, including the United Nations, the World Health Organization, and the Red Cross.
Tour Overview
We will gather at the bus stop on Place Dorcière at the scheduled time, followed by a short trip of approximately 15 minutes to reach the international district of Geneva.
Throughout the scenic journey, an English audio guide will enhance your experience, providing insights into the history of the various international entities located in Geneva. Our first stop will be a quick photo opportunity at the broken chair, a notable monument situated in front of the Palais des Nations.
After passing the European headquarters of the United Nations, we will proceed along the panoramic route, where you can admire the architectural beauty of other international organizations from the comfort of your seat. This includes landmarks such as the Red Cross, the World Health Organization, the International Labour Organisation, and the European Broadcasting Union.
We will also have a view of the World Trade Organisation headquarters and the striking neoclassical exterior of the Musée Ariana. Our exploration of Geneva’s international district will continue until we arrive at the picturesque shores of Lake Geneva.
Along the lakefront, the largest in Switzerland, you will be able to view attractions from the bus such as the Geneva Botanical Garden, the Jardin Anglais, the notable Flower Clock, and Eaux-Vives Park. Additionally, the iconic Jet d'Eau, a symbol of the city, will be visible throughout the journey.
To conclude this engaging tour, which lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes, we will return to our original meeting point.
