Genoa Tuk Tuk Experience

Upon booking, you can select from various tuk-tuk tour options. Each choice includes transportation via tuk-tuk and an English-speaking driver. Below, we outline the details for each available option:

Tuk-tuk tour of the historic center (1 hour)

We will meet at the designated time in front of the Galata Museum of the Sea, where you will hop onto a tuk-tuk ready to explore the historic center of Genoa. Let the adventure begin!

Your journey includes a visit to the port area of Genoa and an entrance into the Maddalena district, where we will navigate down Via Garibaldi, one of the city’s most pivotal streets. Along the way, you’ll encounter some of the renowned palaces of the Genoese aristocracy, predominantly erected between the 16th and 18th centuries.

During the excursion, your driver will act as your guide, sharing intriguing insights about the city and its iconic spots. You can expect several stops for photos, so keep your camera at the ready!

While on the tuk-tuk, you will also visit the exterior of the well-known Cattedrale di San Lorenzo (Genoa Cathedral), the city’s principal church. Nearby, we will enjoy the beauty of several splendid squares, including the delightful Piazza Banchi and Piazza De Ferrari.

After an hour of exploration, we will return to the original meeting point, concluding our tour.

Tuk tuk tour of hidden Genoa (2 hours)

At the time you choose, we will delve into the lesser-known side of the city. This tour highlights popular landmarks alongside hidden gems that reflect the city's rich history.

In the first hour, we will traverse the Maddalena, and the second part of our adventure takes us to explore another section of the historic center separated by the nineteenth-century pedestrian street, known as San Lorenzo.

We will journey through Porta Soprana, Via Ravecca, Piazza Sarzano, and Stradone Sant'Agostino, along with Via San Bernardo, culminating at the stunning church of Santi Cosma e Damiano. What made Petrarch refer to Genoa as La Superba? What secrets do these corners hold? We will uncover the answers!

Concluding our two-hour exploration, we will return to the meeting location to end the tuk-tuk journey.

Based on the tour you select, the following schedules are available:

• Tuk tuk tour of the historic center: hourly from 9 am to 7 pm
• Tuk-tuk tour of hidden Genoa: every thirty minutes from 9 am to 6 pm

Capacity

Each tuk-tuk, in addition to the driver, can accommodate up to two adults along with two children under the age of 6.
