It is often said that Cadaqués stands out as one of the most picturesque locations along the Costa Brava. Discover its charm yourself with this comprehensive day excursion from Girona, which also includes explorations of the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes and the breathtaking Cap de Creus.

Cadaqués & Cap de Creus Day Trip

We will gather at the pre-arranged time in the Plaça de Sant Feliu in Girona. Our first destination will be the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, nestled in the La Albera mountain range.

This historical masterpiece of Catalan Romanesque design invites us to explore its church, bell tower, cloister, sacristies, and the Abbot's palace. As we immerse ourselves in the stunning surroundings, our English-speaking guide will provide insights into the monastery’s rich history and architectural significance. The vistas of the Gulf of Roses and the surrounding Cap de Creus Natural Park are sure to leave a lasting impression as you take in the scene at Sant Pere de Rodes.

By around 11 am, we will transition into the stunning natural wilderness of Cap de Creus, the easternmost tip of the Iberian Peninsula. Our visit will include Portlligat, where spectacular views of the Costa Brava await us. This area is recognized as a significant protected natural site, featuring coastal towns such as Port de la Selva, Roses, and Cadaqués.

A half-hour hike within the park will allow us to appreciate its beauty, followed by our journey to Cadaqués. In this charming town characterized by its whitewashed façades, you'll have an hour and a half to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (not included). Afterward, we will reconvene for a guided tour of Cadaqués’ historic center, a stunning fishing village steeped in history.

Ultimately, our adventure will conclude with our return to Girona approximately 8.5 to 9.5 hours after we commence.
