Moreton Island Day Trip
Description
Vibrant turquoise waters, idyllic beaches, and intriguing shipwrecks: explore the wonders that Moreton Island presents on this exciting day excursion from the Gold Coast.
Moreton Island Day Excursion
Your adventure begins early in the morning, meeting at the Mantra on View Hotel, where you will board a bus destined for the Port of Brisbane, only an hour's drive away along the coastline.
Upon arrival at the port, you'll find your ferry awaiting to commence a 90-minute journey to Moreton Island. As you glide away from the urban skyline, soak in the serene beauty of Moreton Bay and the Coral Sea, with its captivating azure hues stretching out infinitely.
Once you set foot on Moreton Island, a day packed with excitement awaits. As the third-largest sand island globally, Moreton boasts pristine beaches, perfect for unwinding beneath the Australian sun. However, there’s much more to discover! This excursion offers a range of activities designed to help you fully appreciate the island's stunning natural landscape.
Immerse yourself in the marine ecosystem through a snorkelling adventure and explore the renowned Tangalooma shipwrecks from a transparent kayak. Venture out across the island as well: glide down the sandy slopes on a toboggan, experiencing the thrill of speed, and navigate the golden beaches in an adaptable 4x4 vehicle. What else could enhance your day?
Moreover, a delightful picnic lunch will be provided, offering a variety of ingredients for you to create your own sandwiches.
After relishing in all these memorable experiences, you will board the ferry once more for the return journey to Brisbane. Subsequently, transport will be arranged back to your initial meeting point in the Gold Coast after approximately 9 hours.
