Kick off your adventure with an early start at the Mantra on View Hotel, where you’ll meet your group before boarding a bus for a scenic one-hour ride along the coast towards the Port of Brisbane.
Upon arrival at the port, you'll hop aboard the ferry for a 90-minute voyage to Moreton Island. As you leave the urban landscape behind, take in the serene charm of Moreton Bay and the Coral Sea, with its stunning blue waters extending into the horizon.
Once ashore, you’ll have the entire day to indulge in the diverse offerings of Moreton Island. The world’s third-largest sand island, Moreton boasts idyllic beaches perfect for soaking in the Australian sun. But there’s more in store! This outing gives you a chance to engage in various activities designed to embrace the island's pristine natural surroundings.
Swim alongside vibrant marine life in the waters near Moreton Island during a snorkeling excursion, and uncover the secrets of the well-known Tangalooma shipwrecks while paddling in a transparent kayak. Moreover, you can traverse the island: experience exhilarating rides on sand toboggans as you glide down the dunes at exhilarating speeds and embark on a thrilling 4x4 adventure along the sun-kissed beaches. You’ll also enjoy a picnic lunch featuring a variety of ingredients to customize your own sandwiches.
After a day filled with remarkable experiences, you’ll board the ferry for your return journey to Brisbane. Following this, transportation will be provided back to your original pick-up point on the Gold Coast, concluding your day approximately 9 hours later.
Local Charges
On the day of the trip, please note that local fees for the ferry and national park will be due, payable in cash to the driver:
- Adults: 80 AUD per person
- Children under 13 years: 60 AUD per person
Additionally, a fee of 10 AUD per person will be required for fuel.
Important Information
In the event that inclement weather prevents safe water activities, a panoramic tour of the island will be offered as an alternative.

Important information
Meet your guide at the indicated time at the entrance to Mantra on View Hotel. Please be ready and waiting at least 15 minutes in advance.
We recommend bringing a swimsuit, towel and clothing to change into to make the most of the activity. We also recommended to bring a bottle of water, hat and sun protection.
Local Fees
On the day of your excursion, you'll have to pay the local fees for the ferry and national park. The fee should be paid to the driver in cash:
- Adults: 80AUD per person
- Children under 13 years old: 60AUD per person
Additionally, you’ll need to pay 10AUD per person for fuel.
What if the weather is bad?
In the case that adverse weather conditions prohibit safely entering the water, you'll enjoy a panoramic tour of the island instead.
