Alhambra + Albaicin & Sacromonte Guided Tour
Description
Experience the essence of Granada on this guided walking tour that takes you through two of its most distinctive neighborhoods, Albaicin and Sacromonte, along with a visit to the renowned Alhambra.
Guided Tour: Alhambra + Albaicin & Sacromonte
Your adventure begins at the scheduled time, immersing yourself in the enchanting atmosphere of Granada. The first stop is the Alhambra, a must-see monument in Spain and a spectacular representation of Andalusia’s Nasrid architectural heritage.
With the guidance of an experienced English-speaking guide, who will provide intriguing insights about this fortified palace, you will navigate through the beautiful Nasrid Palaces, the Alcazaba, the Partal, and the Medina. The tour also includes the breathtaking Generalife and its stunning gardens.
Once the exploration of the red fortress concludes, your journey continues from Plaza de Isabel la Catolica, a notable square located in the city's center, towards the Albaicin district. As you walk through its narrow streets, rich in Medieval Arab history, you will discover why this neighborhood is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The stunning scenery includes ancient minarets, traditional hammams, cisterns, and typical Granada homes adorned with vibrant flower-filled courtyards.
Your next destination is the enchanting Sacromonte quarter, famous for its whitewashed cave houses nestled in the hills, its lively gypsy culture, and the captivating zambra, a local flamenco tradition. Stroll through the charming streets, soaking in the historic ambiance and reveling in the breathtaking views from the hillside.
