Snowshoe Adventure in Sierra Nevada

On the day of your excursion, we will gather at Calle Profesor Sainz Cantero in Granada, where a minibus will transport us for approximately 50 minutes to Hoya de la Mora, nestled in the Sierra Nevada, an Andalusian mountain range known as "covered in snow."

Once we have ascended to an elevation of over 8,200 feet (2,500 meters), we’ll equip ourselves with everything necessary for our memorable snowshoeing journey! This remarkable method of traversing snowy terrain was originally developed in the Arctic to help travelers move without sinking into the snow.

The adventure kicks off with a three-hour snowshoe hike through the Sierra Nevada, showcasing breathtaking natural surroundings that will captivate your senses. You'll feel the soft snow beneath your feet during a scenic route of roughly 5 kilometers (3.1 miles).

Upon concluding our hike and taking in the majestic vistas of the Sierra Nevada, we will make our way back to the starting location to wrap up this chilly journey after approximately 4 to 5 hours. We anticipate returning around lunchtime, providing you with the opportunity to enjoy a meal at a nearby eatery.
