Ajijic is renowned as one of the most picturesque towns in Jalisco. Join us on this tour to uncover the allure of Ajijic and experience a tranquil sail on Lake Chapala, the largest lake in Mexico.

Ajijic + Lake Chapala Experience

Your journey will commence at 10:30 am with a pickup from the designated meeting point in Guadalajara. Let us embark on this adventure!

Our first stop will be the ranch of Vicente Fernandez, the notable Mexican singer and actor known for his contributions to music and film.

Next, we will proceed to a tequila distillery, where you will gain insight into the traditional methods used to produce this quintessential Mexican spirit. You'll have the opportunity to sample tequila along with other local liquors while here.

At around 2 pm, we will take you to a nearby restaurant. You will have 1 hour of free time to enjoy your lunch at your leisure. Following this, we invite you to embark on a delightful boat ride across Chapala Lake. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife, as you may spot pelicans, ducks, and herons—perfect for your photographs!

Upon our return to land, we will explore Ajijic, classified as one of Mexico's notable Magic Towns (Pueblos Mágicos). This charming village was once home to numerous European thinkers seeking refuge from political strife. As we wander through the streets, you'll be captivated by the vibrant murals and art galleries that adorn the town. Don’t miss the opportunity to see the stunning facade of St. Andrew Parish, an 18th-century architectural gem with two distinct features.

Our final destination for the day will be Chapala. Here, we will visit its most celebrated landmarks, including St. Francis Parish and the town square. An interesting note: this area was originally settled by Nahuatl tribes.

We will then board the bus for our journey back to Guadalajara, with an expected arrival at the original meeting point by 7 pm.
