At the designated hour, we will collect you from your accommodation in Guadalajara to embark on this thrilling tequila expedition towards Amatitán. Let’s begin the adventure!

After approximately 1.5 hours on the road, we will reach Casa Herradura, one of Mexico's most esteemed and historic distilleries. Here, we will uncover the complete tequila production process: from the cooking of the agave piñas to the distillation and aging techniques. A guided tour through its historic production facilities will reveal over 200 years of craftsmanship.

Interestingly, this iconic distillery has served as the backdrop for music videos featuring artists such as Luis Miguel and Vicente Fernández. While we are there, we will partake in a tasting session featuring either one or three types of tequila, contingent on your selected option during booking. Cheers to that!

The approximately 2.5-hour tour will also take us through the ancient section of the estate: the hacienda San José del Refugio, which holds the designation of UNESCO World Heritage Site. Established in 1870, this historic venue offers a genuine glimpse into yesteryears. Its walls are filled with captivating legends and stories that evoke the Mexico of bygone days. A stroll through its rooms will showcase how this hacienda has maintained its traditional essence over the decades.

To conclude our experience, we’ll venture into the Magical Town of Tequila. There, we will embark on a 30 to 45-minute walking tour of its picturesque historic center, meandering through its cobblestone pathways, vibrant plazas, and notable landmarks that underscore its status as a treasure of the nation.

Before we make our journey back, we will stop for lunch at a local eatery, which will feature a main dish, dessert, and a drink – a perfect opportunity to indulge in the regional culinary delights.

At last, we will return to Guadalajara, where we will drop you off at your hotel after an enriching 8-hour experience.
