Tour Overview

Your adventure begins at the prearranged time with a pick-up from your Guadalajara hotel, setting the stage for our journey to Mazamitla, nestled in the heart of the Sierra del Tigre. Over the course of a 2.5-hour drive, fascinating anecdotes and the rich heritage of this Magic Town will be shared.

Upon arrival in Mazamitla, the first activity will be a 45-minute guided walking tour through the lovely cobblestone streets of the historic center. Here, you can admire the colonial-style buildings, adorned with red-tile roofs and vibrant flower-filled balconies.

Our exploration includes a visit to the exterior of the parish church of San Cristobal, a stunning architectural site, while also stopping by the main square, where you can appreciate the fountain and discover local handicraft shops.

Following this, we will set off on a hiking path leading to the El Salto waterfall, one of the most breathtaking natural spots in Mazamitla. The calming flow of water and tranquil environment will enchant you.

After the hike, we will return to the village, allowing for 1.5 hours of free time for personal exploration. This is an excellent opportunity to shop for local goods or indulge in traditional regional dishes. Be sure to sample local favorites such as lamb al pastor, enchiladas, and pozole!

Finally, we will conclude our journey with a return to Guadalajara, ensuring drop-off at your hotel after an enriching day lasting approximately 8 hours.
