Day Trip Details

At the designated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Guadalajara and drive to the archaeological site of Guachimontones.

After an hour's drive by minibus, we'll visit the Phil Weigand Interpretive Center. Here, we'll begin to learn about the history of this ancient pre-Hispanic settlement that's known for its mysterious circular pyramids. We'll see maps, murals, models, farming tools, and ceramic pieces that will help us to imagine what this archaeological site was like more than 2,000 years ago!

Did you know that Guachimontones has been declared a World Heritage Site and that this site was not discovered until 1970? What kind of rituals were carried out here? We'll learn all about this mystical place while exploring its archaeological ruins!

During the visit, we'll admire the circular pyramids and see the ball game courts and important buildings of this fascinating ancient settlement.

Finally, we'll return to the vehicle and finish the trip by dropping you off back at your hotel after 5 to 6 hours.
