This excursion offers a unique opportunity to explore the world of Tequila, featuring a ticket for the renowned Jose Cuervo Express train. Experience one of Mexico's oldest distilleries while traversing one of the nation’s most picturesque train routes.

Tequila Tour with Jose Cuervo Express

Our journey begins at 8 am at Casa José Cuervo in San Pedro Tlaquepaque, where we'll board a bus heading to the agave fields in Tequila. Here, we will uncover the origins of Mexico’s beloved spirit!

The beloved tequila is derived from the agave plant, known for its striking presence in dry environments. We will start by observing the cultivation of this plant and then participate in a jima demonstration.

Next, our visit takes us to La Rojeña distillery, the birthplace of the famous José Cuervo tequila. We will delve into the intricacies of tequila production and unveil the secrets behind this iconic beverage!

During our distillery tour, there will be an opportunity to sample various tequila types paired with a light snack. Additionally, we will visit the Juan Beckmann Gallardo cultural center within the Jose Cuervo premises to learn about the historical significance of this region.

Following our distillery visit, you will have 2 hours of free time to enjoy lunch and explore the charming town of Tequila. Don’t miss the chance to see the stunning 17th-century parish church of Santiago Apóstol! We will reconvene later to enjoy a vibrant Mexican folklore and mariachi music show.

After the performance, we will proceed to the Jose Cuervo Express station, the last traditional-style train in Mexico. Onboard, you will have the chance to witness a magical sunset over the agave fields, a truly remarkable experience!

Our day concludes at 8 pm at the Ferrocarriles Mexicanos station in Guadalajara.
