Join us on this kayaking adventure as we explore the stunning emerald waters of the Guatapé Reservoir, immersing ourselves in the beauty of the lake’s picturesque locations. This experience promises to be unforgettable!

Tour Overview

We will gather at the central park of Guatapé at the appointed time. After the group is complete, a short walk will lead us to the Malecón, our launching point for this exciting journey.

Following a concise briefing and the distribution of essential gear, we’ll set off from the Malecón. As we glide across the lake, the vibrant town of Guatapé will gradually recede from view.

During our paddle, the majestic Piedra del Peñol, a towering monolith reaching 721 ft (220 m), will come into sight. We’ll share intriguing insights about this landmark as you capture breathtaking photographs from a different vantage point.

Our exploration will take us among the islands of the Guatapé reservoir, where you may encounter various endemic bird species and fish. If our paddling pace allows it, we’ll venture to the remains of La Manuela, the renowned estate of Pablo Escobar, rich with history and captivating stories.

At the conclusion of this kayaking excursion, we’ll return to our starting location and bid farewell after an enriching 3-hour experience.
