Description

Embark on a private excursion to Medellín from Guatapé, where you will explore the captivating capital of the Antioquia region in Colombia, the birthplace of renowned artists like Fernando Botero.

Excursion Overview

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your accommodation in Guatapé at the predetermined time, as we set off towards Medellín, the key city in Colombia's Antioquia region.

Our initial destination will be Nutibara Hill, where a visit to Pueblito Paisa awaits. This delightful replica provides an intimate glimpse into a typical Antioquian village. Following that, we will proceed to Comuna 13, known for its urban art scene, where you can admire an array of stunning murals created by notable graffiti artists.

After absorbing the vibrant street art, we will navigate through the city center, taking advantage of Medellín's renowned Metro or Metrocable (cable car), depending on your choice. Experience breathtaking panoramic vistas of the "City of Eternal Spring" from the cable car cabins.

As part of the tour, we will offer you a traditional Colombian delicacy, such as a pandebono (cheese bread), a buñuelo, or an empanada, providing the perfect snack to sustain your energy.

The private tour continues to Botero Plaza, which honors Fernando Botero, one of Colombia's most celebrated artists. This expansive square is home to several of his famous sculptures, including The Rape of Europa, Maternity, and The Sphinx.

Concluding the tour, you will have leisure time to savor local dishes in Medellín before we return to Guatapé. Anticipate arriving back approximately 8 to 9 hours after pickup.

This excursion includes collection from hotels located within Guatapé. Should your accommodations be outside this area, we will arrange to meet in front of the Guatapé Church in Central Plaza.
