Who has not heard of the renowned rice paddies of China? On this day trip, you will venture into the astonishing Longji rice terraces, a highlight of the stunning scenery found in Guangxi Province. Immerse yourself in the essence of rural China!

Tour Overview

The rice paddies of China are celebrated globally for their striking beauty. During this tour, you'll have the opportunity to explore the iconic rice terraces of Longji, which showcase some of the most dramatic landscapes in Guangxi Province. Are you prepared to embrace the charm of traditional China?

Your day will begin with a pickup from your hotel in Guilin, followed by a journey of about 2 hours and 30 minutes to reach Longsheng, where the remarkable Longji rice terraces await. Our first stop will be at the ticket office, allowing you some time to unwind while we procure tickets for the villages on our itinerary.

These terraces, constructed over 650 years ago, exemplify impressive engineering skills, ascending between 300 and 1,100 meters (985–3,609 feet) above sea level.

Our next destination will be the village of Huangluo Yao, where you can take in the picturesque scenery. Here, you will have 1.5 hours to freely explore the village, admire its traditional architecture, and enjoy lunch at your leisure. You will be enchanted by the gentle curves of the rice fields. Additionally, you might attend a cultural performance by the long-haired Yao women, regarded as symbols of longevity and wealth in this community.

Following our visit, we'll proceed to the parking area in the village of Dazhai, where various options for exploring the rice terraces await you. Choose to use the cable car or vehicle for a convenient ascent to the viewpoint, or, for the more adventurous, embark on a 1-hour hike to enjoy the scenery from above or opt for a van ride.

As the day winds down, we will reconvene at the cable car parking area and return to Guilin, concluding an enriching 8-hour experience.

Around 8:30 pm the day before the activity, the local team will contact you to confirm the exact pick-up time at your hotel, which will be between 7:30 and 8 am. Once you know the time, we recommend being ready at your accommodation’s reception at least 10 minutes early.

The driver speaks Chinese and can communicate with you through a translation app if needed.
Tickets included in the price give access to all of the Longji rice terraces.
Leaving the group between stops can cause issues, as all vehicle passengers travel together and tickets are only valid for the registered vehicle and its passengers. If you leave the vehicle and continue on your own, your tickets may become invalid.
