Complimentary Tour of Colonial Havana
We will gather at the designated time to commence our complimentary walking tour focused on the colonial architecture of Havana, starting with a visit to the renowned Capitol.
From there, the journey will continue to the Gran Teatro de La Habana and the significant National Capitol of Havana, which hosts the national assembly. Afterward, we’ll stroll to Central Park, home to the statue of the eminent José Martí.
This complimentary tour will take us by notable bars like La Floridita and La Bodeguita del Medio. While navigating through the vibrant heart of Old Havana, we will admire the impressive Art Deco Bacardi Building. Our next destination will be Plaza de la Catedral, where we can appreciate the captivating baroque architecture of Havana Cathedral. This square also features numerous elegant residences that once belonged to landowners during the colonial period.
We’ll delve deeper into Havana's picturesque squares. At Plaza de San Francisco, we’ll admire the church with the same name as well as the splendid Lonja del Comercio, the former stock exchange established in 1909. After absorbing the historic vibe of Plaza Vieja, our route will take us to Plaza de Armas, where we’ll find the Palace of the Captains General and El Templete, a monument commemorating Havana’s foundation 500 years ago.
Following our visit to the impressive La Cabaña and Morro Castle, a 16th-century fortress designed to protect Havana Bay from pirates, our walking adventure will conclude after a duration of 3 hours.
