Trinidad & Cienfuegos Two-Day Expedition

Day 1: Departure from Havana to Trinidad

Your journey begins with a hotel pick-up in Havana at 7:30 am, followed by a comfortable minibus ride to Trinidad, recognized as one of the most significant and well-preserved colonial towns in the Western Hemisphere.

En route, we will stop at the Zapata Swamp to explore the crocodile farm. Continuing on, the next stop will be Playa Girón, where we will visit the Cueva de los Peces, a stunning natural pool teeming with tropical fish, set against a backdrop of lush wilderness. Additionally, we will explore the Museum of the Bay of Pigs Invasion, viewing an exhibition on the weaponry utilized during that historic event.

Afterward, a lunch break at a local eatery in Playa Girón will provide a chance to refuel. Following this, we will return to the minibus and head towards Trinidad, where we will stay with a welcoming local family.

Day 2: Trinidad to Cienfuegos and Return to Havana

The following morning, we will enjoy a hearty breakfast at our homestay before embarking on our exploration of Trinidad at 8 am.

Under the guidance of a knowledgeable local historian, we will delve into the charming cobblestone streets and discover notable colonial landmarks over the course of three hours, including the Church of San Francisco de Paula, the Church of San Francisco de Asís, and the illustrious Plaza Mayor.

At 11 am, we will reconvene at our homestay before meeting again at noon to board the bus. Our journey will take us to Cienfuegos, where we will embark on a three-hour guided tour to uncover the city's distinctive architectural character, including its grand buildings, palatial structures, and expansive promenades.

Finally, we will hop back on the minibus to make our way back to Havana. The anticipated arrival time in the capital is approximately 7 pm.
