Heidelberg Segway Tour
Description
Experience the notable attractions of Heidelberg during an engaging Segway ride. This adventure offers remarkable vistas, historic sites, and a deeper understanding of the city's vibrant past.
Discover Heidelberg with Elegance
Are you prepared to explore the delightful city of Heidelberg in a fresh and thrilling manner? We will convene at the designated meeting point at Neckarmünzplatz, marking the beginning of our Segway excursion.
Our adventure begins as we glide by the Marstall, a historic armoury constructed around 1510 under Prince Elector Ludwig V. As we continue, we will navigate past the Congress Centre en route to the Theodor Heuss Bridge.
A key highlight awaits at the Philosopher's Walk, where an awe-inspiring view of Heidelberg’s skyline and the Neckar River awaits. Following this, we will pass the Neuburg Monastery, established in 1130, which offers a captivating peek into the city's medieval heritage.
Next, we ascend to Köpfel, providing a striking vantage point overlooking the serene Neckar Valley, the city of Heidelberg, and the Upper Rhine Plain. Our journey will then lead us down into the peaceful Ziegelhausen district, followed by a refreshing climb to Wolfsbrunnen. This historic location, now a refined restaurant and meeting venue, has welcomed many distinguished royals and celebrated artists over the years.
As the tour nears its conclusion, we will pass by the illustrious Heidelberg Castle, a quintessential landmark of the city. Along the route, we will also view Villa Bosch and the Carl Bosch Museum, honoring the achievements of Nobel laureate Carl Bosch. One last spectacular look at the castle gardens will be enjoyed before making our way to Klingenteich.
The concluding part of our tour will lead us past the old Jewish cemetery, ultimately returning us to the historic town center.
After approximately two and a half hours, our journey will wrap up at the original meeting point.
