5-Day South Vietnam Itinerary

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City to Da Lat

At the scheduled time, we will collect you from your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, marking the start of your South Vietnam adventure.

The first stop will be the Vietnam War Remnants Museum. For two hours, you will delve into the exhibits showcasing one of the most publicized conflicts in history. Following the museum visit, we'll enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch before traveling to the Cu Chi Tunnels.

After a two-hour journey, we will arrive at this notable historical site where you will uncover the strategies, traps, and secrets of the Viet Cong, renowned as one of the most formidable armies globally. You’ll have the opportunity to explore the narrow tunnels and, for those interested, try firing some military weapons, including the AK47.

After a day filled with experiences and local cuisine, we will return to Ho Chi Minh City by 7 pm, giving you some time to relax before we board a sleeper bus to Da Lat at 11 pm, reaching our destination in about six hours.

Day 2: Discovering Da Lat

Our day in Da Lat begins at 8 am, where we will pick you up on motorbikes for an immersive tour. You’ll meet the last remaining matriarchal ethnic minority in Vietnam, and we will ride past picturesque waterfalls, serene lakes, silk factories, and even a cricket farm that contributes to the local cuisine. Are you ready to taste them?

By 6 pm, we will return to Da Lat to sample the renowned hot liquor alongside a delicious Vietnamese dinner, before winding down for the night.

Day 3: Return to Ho Chi Minh City via Da Lat

Start your day at 8 am with breakfast at a well-known restaurant, followed by a guided tour through Da Lat. This city is famously referred to as the City of Love. We will stroll through the stunning Valley of Love, admiring the hidden temples, palaces, and gardens scattered throughout the area.

We will head back to Ho Chi Minh City at 4 pm and rest at our hotel upon arrival.

A cable car ride will also be included, offering breathtaking views of the town’s historic architecture from above.

Day 4: Ho Chi Minh City to Can Tho

We’ll meet you at your hotel at 7 am to transfer you to the station, where a sleeper bus to Can Tho awaits. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by a local family, and we will settle into our riverside accommodation. A fascinating bicycle tour will follow, exploring the Mekong mangroves and the impacts of the Vietnam War on this delicate ecosystem.

The day's activities will culminate with a traditional cooking class in the local village, providing a unique culinary experience. We will then savor the dishes we've created along with the regional rice liquor.

Day 5: Mekong Delta Exploration and Return to Ho Chi Minh City

Early risers will be picked up at 5:30 am for a journey through the enchanting Mekong Delta, featuring rice fields, rich vegetation, and diverse aquatic life. Our voyage will take us to the vibrant floating markets, where we can enjoy lunch on board while soaking in the picturesque surroundings.

The adventure continues along the river to visit a local rice factory and a cacao plantation. By 4 pm, we will return to Ho Chi Minh City, concluding the 5-day itinerary.

Accommodation Details

The tour includes a total of four nights of accommodation:

• 1st night: Sleeper bus
• 2nd night: Traditional house in Da Lat, private bungalow
• 3rd night: Amanaki Saigon or equivalent, in a private room
• 4th night: Traditional house in Can Tho, private bungalow

The traditional houses in Da Lat and Can Tho accommodate between 2 to 4 guests.
