Chavín de Huántar Expedition
Your adventure begins at 9 am when you are collected from your hotel for a ride to the archaeological site of Chavín de Huántar. During the two-hour journey, we will pause at Querococha lagoon to admire the picturesque landscape — a moment not to be missed!
Discover landmarks such as the Tello obelisk, the Portico of the Falconides, and the sunken circular square. After reaching the site, we will explore these ancient remnants and uncover fascinating insights about the deities revered by the Chavín and their unique traditions.
At 2 pm, enjoy free time in the nearby village for lunch. Following this break, we will visit the Chavín National Museum, enhancing our understanding of the history and culture of Chavín de Huántar. Expect to return to Huaraz by 6 pm.
Pastoruri Glacier Adventure
Beginning at 9 am, we'll pick you up from your accommodation en route to the Pastoruri glacier. Along the way, we will visit the Patococha lagoon and witness the soothing hot springs of Pumapampa. Additionally, keep an eye out for the rare Puya Raimondi, noted for its numerous indigenous specimens found in the area.
Upon arrival at Huascaran National Park, our journey continues with a 45-minute trek to the stunning Pastoruri glacier, spanning nearly 2 square kilometers and sitting at an altitude exceeding 5000 meters (16,404 feet). You will have an opportunity for lunch around 3 pm, and we'll aim to return to Huaraz by 5 pm.
Llanganuco Lagoons Excursion
At 9 am, our meeting point will be your hotel as we embark towards the Llanganuco Lagoons within Huascaran National Park. As we travel, the breathtaking views of the Huanday, Hualcan, and Huascarán peaks — the latter standing at 6757 meters (22,168 feet) — will surely captivate you.
Once we arrive, we will reach the renowned Llanganuco lakes: Chinancocha and Orconcocha, where you will have one hour to wander and appreciate these glacial beauties independently. Afterwards, we head to Caraz for some leisure time for lunch.
Post-lunch, we’ll stop by local pastry shops to discover delectable local sweets. Before concluding our trip back to Huaraz, we will visit the district of Tarica to appreciate its traditional crafts. We anticipate returning to your hotel around 7 pm.
Churup Lagoon Hiking Journey
Your journey kicks off at 7 am with a hotel pick-up, followed by travel through picturesque Andean villages until we reach Pitec, at an elevation of 3850 meters (12,631 feet). Here, you'll be treated to spectacular views of the prominent peaks within Huascaran National Park.
Our hike starts along the ridge that leads from Pitec. As we traverse the steeper portions, we might use ropes for assistance, with the guide ensuring your safety throughout. Upon reaching Churup lagoon, take the time to soak in the stunning scenery and relax. Afterwards, we’ll tread back towards Pitec, where a minibus awaits to take us back to Huaraz, with an estimated return by 4 pm.
Lagoon 69 Expedition
Our venture begins at 5 am with a collection from your hotel as we set off towards Huascaran National Park. After a 90-minute drive, we will disembark to commence our hike. During our ascent, we'll be on the lookout for the distinctive flora and fauna native to this region — can you spot a puna partridge or an Andean condor?
After a three-hour hike, you'll arrive at the captivating Lagoon 69, recognized for its striking turquoise waters. Take an hour to explore the area, have lunch, and perhaps even take a dip if you're feeling adventurous.
Once you've enjoyed your time, we will return to the park entrance, where our bus will be ready to transport us back. We expect to arrive in Huaraz approximately by 7 pm.
