Tour Overview

We'll gather at the designated base camp, located approximately 46 km (28 miles) from Höfn. Here begins our offroad exploration of the Vatnajökull and Skalafellsjökull glaciers.

Once everyone is comfortably seated, we will embark on our journey through the mountainous terrain. As we ascend, we will enjoy breathtaking views from some of the highest elevations in Iceland, reaching the peaks of Skalafellsjökull and the impressive Vatnajökull glacier, the largest in Europe. The vistas are truly magnificent!

Our quest will take us up the Vatnajökull glacier, reaching elevations of up to 1000 meters (3,280 feet) above sea level. Along the way, we will pause to capture stunning photographs.

During our expedition, the guide will share intriguing insights about the glaciers and their vast ice fields, emphasizing their significance in environmental terms.

After approximately 3 hours, we will return to our initial meeting location, concluding this remarkable 4x4 experience.
