Day Trip to Cerro Machín Volcano + La Florida Hot Springs

On this excursion to Cerro Machín departing from Ibagué, you will ascend to a vantage point, offering stunning sights of volcanic formations, and have the opportunity to unwind in the La Florida hot springs.

Excursion Overview 

Our adventure begins at the specified time in front of the Surtiplaza supermarket located on Calle 37. We'll board an all-terrain vehicle, departing from Ibagué to journey along the Vía Cajamarca heading towards Toche.

During our route, a pause will be made in the city of Cajamarca for a short break, followed by a visit to the Cuchilla viewpoint. At this scenic location, insights will be shared about the Cerro Machín Volcano and the picturesque canyon of the River Toche, where nature's beauty will unfold before us.

Upon reaching Toche, a hearty breakfast will energize us before venturing into the largest wax palm forest in the world. Here, we will embark on a memorable 2-kilometer trek to admire these majestic trees up close.

After soaking in the stunning surroundings, we will proceed to the La Florida hot springs, accessible via a 1-kilometer stroll through the verdant La Primavera nature reserve.

Arriving at the thermal baths, a three-course lunch will be served to replenish our energy. You’ll then have leisure time to enjoy the healing waters at your own pace. 

Following this rejuvenating experience, we will start our return to Ibagué, concluding our journey and bidding farewell after an engaging 12-hour adventure.
