Experience a day of complete relaxation immersed in the beauty of nature and the sound of waterfalls with this hiking adventure to La Plata waterfall, located within the Pastales Ecotourism Park.
Hike to La Plata Waterfall
Your journey begins at 7 am, when we will pick you up from your hotel in Ibagué and set off towards the La Plata Ecotourism Park.
Upon arrival, we will embark on a picturesque trail that guides us through the park's most captivating features. Our 4.5-mile (7.2 km) trek alongside the Combeima River will take us over bridges, past farms, and natural springs, ultimately leading to our highlight: the enchanting La Plata waterfall!
This magnificent waterfall stands as the tallest in the Combeima Canyon, reaching a height of 1,607 ft (490 meters). Here, the serene atmosphere combined with fresh air and stunning landscapes creates an ideal setting for a day dedicated to unwinding.
You will have leisurely time to enjoy the waterfall and to explore La Platica, a smaller yet delightful waterfall close to La Plata. After embracing the beauty of this natural site, we will take a snack break before retracing our steps back to the park entrance.
At the end of our hike, a bus will be ready to transport us back to Ibagué, with an estimated arrival time at your hotel around 12:30 pm.

The guide will pick you up at your hotel in Ibagué at 7 am. Please be at the hotel lobby 10 minutes in advance.
Please note
Children under 5 years old do not have to pay for the excursion, but an insurance fee of 5000COP must be paid for them in person on the day of the excursion.
