Ballestas Islands, Tambo Colorado & Moron Lagoon Tour

During the journey to the Ballestas Islands, Tambo Colorado, and the Morón Lagoon, participants will explore the rich history of the Peruvian coastal region and encounter sites of significant ecological value.

The adventure begins at 6:30 am with a hotel pickup in Ica. From there, we embark on a road trip to the El Chaco dock, situated in the stunning bay of Paracas.

At the dock, a boat will be ready to transport us to the Ballestas Islands, where we will embark on a panoramic exploration of this unique archipelago, home to a diverse array of endemic wildlife.

During the tour, we will observe colonies of sea lions along with various bird species such as Humboldt penguins, waders, boobies, seagulls, and pelicans. The journey will also include a view of the famous Candelabro de Paracas, a geoglyph etched into the rock approximately 2,500 years ago whose significance remains elusive...

As we return to Paracas, we will board the bus to visit the significant archaeological site of Tambo Colorado. This site ranks as one of the most prominent Inca settlements on the Peruvian coastline, featuring structures primarily built from adobe. Our exploration will cover its three sectors, allowing us to view notable constructions such as La Fortaleza.

Following this, we will head to the Morón Lagoon, located within the Humay district, renowned for its picturesque blue-green waters. Here, you will have free time for activities such as swimming, sandboarding, and enjoying lunch at one of the local restaurants.

The excursion will conclude as we return to Ica, with drop-off at the Plaza de Armas between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm.

Weather Conditions

Please note that this activity is contingent upon weather conditions. In case of adverse weather, the itinerary will adjust to include visits to the White Islands and the Paracas National Reserve instead.
