Nazca, Ica & Paracas 3-Day Tour

Day 1: Ica - Huacachina Lagoon - Ica

At the designated time, our representative will collect you from your selected meeting point, whether it's your accommodation or the bus terminal in Ica, to commence this immersive 3-day Ica tour.

Our first stop will be the central area of Ica, where you can take in prominent landmarks, including the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral. Following this, you'll partake in a guided visit to the Regional Museum of Ica, showcasing the rich history of ancient civilizations in the region. Here, you’ll explore the anthropology and biological anthropology sections that house artifacts from the Paracas and Nazca cultures, providing a fascinating insight into the area’s heritage.

Subsequently, we will visit a local winery, where you will delve into the world of Peruvian winemaking. This experience includes tastings of various pisco and wine varieties, renowned products from Ica.

Next, we’ll head towards the oasis of Huacachina, an idyllic retreat nestled in the desert. There, you can embark on an exhilarating ride in buggies across the dunes, and for the adventurous ones, we offer an opportunity for sandboarding.

This exciting day will conclude as we return you to your hotel, where you can unwind and have dinner at your leisure.

Day 2: Ica - Paracas - Ica

Following breakfast, we will travel to Paracas. Upon arrival, you'll board a boat destined for the Ballestas Islands. During this voyage, keep an eye out for the intriguing El Candelabro, a geoglyph etched in the coastal sands.

Your boat journey will lead you to the Ballestas Islands, a thriving sanctuary for an array of marine wildlife. Here, you will likely see guano birds and, with some luck, Humboldt penguins as well. We will also visit the sea lion conservation centre, where you can learn more about these fascinating creatures.

After the marine exploration, we will return to Paracas where you can enjoy a lunch break. Well-rested, we will continue with a tour of the Paracas National Reserve. Highlights of the tour include stunning viewpoints at the Paracas Peninsula and the beautiful Yumaque, Roja, and Lagunillas beaches.

The day will conclude back at your hotel, allowing you a free evening to dine as you wish and relax.

Day 3: Ica - Nazca - Ica

After breakfast, we'll set off on a historical journey to Nazca. Our first stop will be the Maria Reiche Museum, dedicated to the remarkable scholar who devoted her life to researching the mysterious geoglyphs of the region.

The next highlight is a visit to the Maria Reiche viewpoint, which offers panoramic views of some of the most iconic Nazca Lines, including the Hand and the Tree. This breathtaking spectacle from above is truly unforgettable!

We will also explore the Cantalloc aqueducts, a testament to the advanced hydraulic engineering of the Nazca civilization. Our journey continues at the ruins of Los Paredones, an archaeological site that sheds light on the lives of pre-Inca societies. To wrap up the day, we’ll visit a pottery and gold workshop, offering a closer look at the traditional crafting processes behind these artisanal creations.

Your tour will conclude in Ica around 4 PM, marking the end of an enriching travel experience.

Accommodation

This package includes two nights’ stay with breakfast at a 2 or 3-star hotel in either Ica or Huacachina, based on your preference. The available accommodations are:

• Huacachina: Hosteria Suiza and Hotel Curasi

Hotel Pickup

Our service includes pickup from the Ica Bus Station or from hotels situated in Cercado de Ica and nearby areas, the Huacachina Oasis, and the Urbanización Puente Blanco. For those staying in alternative locations, we will meet at the appointed time on Calle Las Palmeras.
