Puffin Watching at Ingólfshöfði
Your journey begins at Þjóðvegur, where you will board a tractor-drawn carriage that will take you toward the remarkable Cape Ingólfshöfði, renowned for its vibrant puffin population.
During a 30-minute ride through the marshlands of the nature reserve, you will arrive at your destination, where you will embark on a 1 hour 30 minutes walk along the edge of Ingólfshöfði. This area is the habitat for thousands of seabirds, prominently featuring puffins and skuas.
As you stroll through this picturesque landscape, our guides will share insights about these distinctive orange-billed birds, often regarded as one of Iceland's iconic species, known for their peaceful existence far from hunting pressures. Throughout the walk, numerous stops will be made, allowing you to capture stunning photos of the puffins and observe them up close.
After your time with the puffins, you will return to the tractor for the journey back to the original meeting point, concluding this enriching experience.

Important information
We'll meet at Þjóðvegur, 1.2 miles (2 kilometres) south of the puffin watching car park in Ingólfshöfði. The meeting point has a large "Puffin Tour" sign next to the main road. We recommend being at the meeting point at least 15 minutes before the tour starts.
