Jungfraujoch Glacier Trip
Description
Explore the breathtaking mountain pass at Jungfraujoch, recognized as the peak of Europe and a designated World Heritage Site.
Description
Our journey commences at Höheweg, 95 in Interlaken. From this central meeting point, we will board a bus bound for the picturesque Alpine village of Grindelwald, nestled at an elevation of 1,034 meters.
Upon arrival in Grindelwald, we will embark on our ascent via the Eiger Express cable car to reach the Glacier Eiger station. Next, we will board a rack train heading to Jungfraujoch, the highest peak of the continent.
As a World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO, Jungfraujoch presents a stunning view of the iconic trio: Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau. After reaching the summit, we will have the opportunity to experience the Alpine Sensation show.
Weather permitting, you'll be able to take in the views from the Sphinx observatory and the Plateau viewpoint, where vistas stretch over neighboring countries and the magnificent Aletsch Glacier. Renowned as Europe’s longest glacier, it is a sight to behold. Additionally, the tunnels of the Ice Palace provide a unique exploration experience!
Following approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes of leisure time at the top, we will descend by rack train to Lauterbrunnen. From there, we will return by bus to Interlaken, completing a total journey of about 7 hours and 15 minutes.
