From December to May

Day 1: Arrival in Iquitos - Amazon River Cruise Begins

Your experience commences with a pickup from the airport or your accommodation, followed by transport to the Hilton Iquitos. Enjoy a delectable welcome lunch, setting the tone for the luxury ahead. Shortly thereafter, we’ll proceed to the main port in Iquitos, where you will board our vessel to start the cruise along the stunning Amazon and Marañon Rivers. Get ready to set sail!

Day 2: Yanayacu de Yacapana Reserve - Marañon River - Community of Puerto Prado - Nauta Caño

Your first boat excursion will lead you to the meeting point of the two rivers, where you will have the chance to see the enchanting pink dolphins at the Yanayacu de Yacapana Reserve. After a hearty breakfast, relish the morning aboard the cruise, enjoying its splendid amenities.

In the afternoon, join us for a jungle trek to observe endemic wildlife, followed by a visit to the Indigenous community of Puerto Prado to immerse yourself in their rich culture and traditions.

Your evening will include a delightful dinner with live music, followed by a night outing to explore the vibrant ecosystem of Nauta Caño, a nature reserve located along the riverbanks.

Day 3: Japón Lagoon - Pacaya Samiria Reserve

Wake up refreshed for a day trip to Japón Lagoon, accompanied by a lovely picnic breakfast. We will then venture into the Pacaya Samiria Reserve, a major highlight of the Peruvian Amazon, where you can enjoy kayaking adventures.

Post-lunch, embark on a walk across canopy bridges before returning to the cruise ship for an exciting Peruvian cocktail demonstration prior to dinner.

Day 4: San Regis - Shiriyacu Exploration

After breakfast on board, our journey takes us to the community of San Regis. Here, a local shaman will share their ancestral customs, including a special tree-planting ceremony. You’ll have the chance to explore their handicraft market.

Following lunch, we will navigate to Shiriyacu by boat to engage in piranha fishing. Before concluding the day, gather on the ship to witness a stunning sunset, accompanied by another night of live music.

Day 5: Nauta - Return to Iquitos

Time passes swiftly when filled with enjoyment. On our last day, we’ll disembark in Nauta, the region’s second-largest city. After exploring the local market and uncovering fascinating facts about this vibrant locale, we will head toward Iquitos, stopping en route at a manatee rescue center.

Your trip concludes upon returning to Iquitos, where transportation to your chosen hotel or the airport will be provided.

From June to November

During the period of June to November, lower water levels in the rivers and lagoons necessitate some adjustments to the itinerary, which will include:

• Day 1: post-lunch, we’ll travel from Iquitos to Nauta to board the boat.
• Day 3: Instead of visiting Japón Lagoon, we'll navigate the Yanayacu River in Pucate and learn piranha fishing techniques, enjoying lunch on board and a talk on Amazonian philosophy.
• Day 4: We will journey on a boat trip along the Samiria River with a delicious picnic breakfast. The cocktail demonstration will be conducted prior to lunch, followed by a visit to the San Regis community in the afternoon.

Accommodation on Board

Your experience includes four nights’ stay aboard a luxurious cruise ship with complete board in a suite of your preference.

The Zafiro cruise ship features two decks. Each suite is thoughtfully appointed with all necessary amenities to ensure an extraordinary experience: a private bathroom with shower and toiletries, cozy beds with cotton linens, bathrobes, and air conditioning. Panoramic windows in the suites provide stunning views of the Amazon.
