Day 1: Iquitos - Nauta

Your adventure begins with a pickup from the airport or your accommodation, directing you to the Hilton Iquitos for a delightful lunch. Afterward, we will head to the charming town of Nauta, the gateway to your 4-day cruise experience.

Upon arrival in Nauta, the friendly cruise crew will guide you to your suite, welcoming you with a signature cocktail. In the evening, join us for an introductory briefing, where our guides will highlight the anticipated sights, as well as the journey's route and the cultures we will encounter. Following a delightful welcome dinner, our cruise will depart, setting sail along the beautiful Ucayali River.

Day 2: Yanallpa del Ucayali - Tapiche River - Dorado River

Good morning! Rise early as we embark on a boat excursion to the scenic Yanallpa del Ucayali within the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Here, we will seek to observe the diverse wildlife. After this adventure, enjoy a hearty breakfast before we set out on the Tapiche River, continuing our wildlife search.

Once back on board for lunch, participate in an engaging culinary demonstration led by our onboard chef. Post-lunch, we will navigate to the Dorado River to learn traditional fishing techniques. As night falls, you will have the opportunity to partake in a game-viewing adventure, where we may spot caimans, frogs, and tarantulas before returning for dinner.

Day 3: Yarapa River - Amazon River - Huasi Community

After breakfast, we will be back on the boat to discover the intriguing Yarapa River, known for its black waters. Marvel at the sighting of pink and grey dolphins that thrive in this unique habitat. Next, we will visit the confluence of the Ucayali and Marañon Rivers, the birthplace of the Amazon River.

Lunch will be served onboard, followed by a visit to the Huasi community, allowing insight into the villagers’ traditions and lifestyle. If the weather permits, an opportunity for swimming in the Tahuayo River awaits. As we return, you will be captivated by the breathtaking hues of the Amazons’ sunset. End the day with a vibrant live music show before dinner.

Day 4: Amazon Rescue Centre - Iquitos

Your final day begins with breakfast before disembarking in Iquitos. A vehicle will be ready to take you to the Amazon Rescue Centre, dedicated to the conservation of manatees. During your visit, discover the meticulous care provided to these animals. After this heartwarming experience, we will transfer you to the airport or your Iquitos hotel.

June to November

Day 1: Iquitos - Nauta

We'll commence with a pickup from the airport or your hotel, leading you to lunch at the Hilton Iquitos, followed by the journey to Nauta. Upon arrival, we will board our cruise ship, where you will be escorted to your suite and greeted with a welcome cocktail by the crew. The evening will feature a detailed briefing regarding the itinerary, routes, and regional insights. We will then savor a welcome dinner as the ship sets sail for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Ucayali River - Yucurichi - Bagazán Lake

Awake to a lovely morning! After breakfast, we will venture on a hike in Yucurichi, an area nearby the Ucayali River in the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve, offering chances to spot native wildlife before returning for a culinary demonstration.

Post-lunch, you may choose between kayaking on the Ucayali River or enjoying a boat trip on Lake Bagazán. As night falls, savor an Amazonian music show, followed by dinner and a nighttime game viewing where you may encounter caimans or lizards!

Day 3: Yarapa River - Vistalegre - Amazon River

Early risers will appreciate a boat trip to the Yarapa River, where sightings of pink and grey dolphins are common among the deep waters. Return to the cruise ship for breakfast before visiting the village of Vistalegre, gaining insight into local customs and exploring an intriguing butterfly farm.

After lunch on board, enjoy sailing on the Amazon River while watching the stunning sunset. In the evening, relax with a live music performance before dinner.

Day 4: Amazon Rescue Centre - Iquitos

Following breakfast, we will disembark in Iquitos and board a vehicle for a visit to the Amazon Rescue Centre, focused on hastening the recovery of manatees. Here, you will witness the care provided to these endangered creatures prior to their reintroduction into the wild. As our captivating journey concludes, transportation will be arranged to the airport for your flight back home or to your booked hotel in Iquitos.

Your voyage includes three nights aboard a luxury cruise ship, featuring full board service in a suite of your choice. The Zafiro cruise ship offers two decks and well-appointed suites designed for your comfort, including private bathrooms, cozy beds, high-quality linens, and air conditioning.
