Flamingos Lagoon Tour
Your adventure begins at 10:15 am with a pickup from your accommodation on Isabela Island, setting off towards the captivating Flamingos Lagoon. It’s interesting to note that these vibrant birds are not indigenous to the Galapagos; they actually migrated from various regions across the Americas.
The archipelago boasts around 500 flamingos, with Isabela Island hosting the most significant concentration. The island's rich natural resources and the abundance of lagoons create an ideal habitat for these birds to thrive.
Experts indicate that these flamingos have successfully adapted to the local climate and available food sources, leading them to be classified as a unique subspecies. During our visit to this freshwater reserve, you will have the opportunity to observe and learn more about these remarkable flamingos in their Galapagos habitat.
The duration of the visit to Flamingos Lagoon will be approximately 30 minutes, after which you will be returned to your hotel on Isabela Island.
