The Canfranc Express offers an immersive experience along one of the most picturesque routes in the Huesca province within the Aragonese Pyrenees.

This delightful vintage train, recently refurbished, has earned the designation of Historic Railway Heritage. It features a Series 315 locomotive from the 1950s, carriages dating back to the 1930s, and a dedicated wagon for bicycle transport.

This adventure undoubtedly represents a journey back in time through the enchanting valley of the Aragón River.

Details of the Journey

We will depart from the Jaca Train Station at the scheduled time, embarking on board the Canfranc Express.

During a 35-minute ride through the breathtaking scenery of the Aragonese Pyrenees, you will witness a landscape rich in forests and majestic mountains.

The train makes stops at Castiello de Jaca and Villanúa before heading toward Canfranc, where the railway station is celebrated as one of the most stunning train stations in Spain.

Although the old station is no longer operational, it has been beautifully transformed into a 5-star hotel, retaining its historical charm. Its strategic location near France rendered it particularly significant during the Second World War.

Upon arrival at this picturesque destination, you will have 5 hours of leisure time. We highly recommend taking advantage of this opportunity to explore the surroundings and savor the delicious cuisine from Huelva.

At the appointed time, you will return to Jaca on the train.
