Itinerary

You'll be picked up from your hotel in Jaipur first thing in the morning, ready to start exploring the most important temples in the Rajasthani capital. Prepare to get lost in the diverse holy sanctuaries of India, the birthplace of four of the world's major religions.

Your first stop will be Galtaji, an ancient Hindu pilgrimage site nestled in the Aravalli Hills, just over 6 miles from Jaipur city centre. The complex encompasses several temples and water tanks, replenished by sacred springs from the mountains, where pilgrims engage in bathing and purification rituals. The Hanuman temple is particularly noteworthy: known as the Monkey Temple, it is home to friendly primates. Ascending to the hilltop shrines offers stunning views over Jaipur—remember to bring your camera!

After exploring Galtaji, you will regroup at the bus to continue to your next destination: Jahat Shiromani. Located near the iconic Amber Fort, this Hindu temple was commissioned by Queen Kanakwati in the late 16th century in memory of her son Jagat Singh. From this intricately carved shrine, you will proceed to visit Kale Hanuman Ji and Govind Dev Ji.

Your temple tour will progress to the Birla Mandir. Situated on elevated ground at the Moti Dungari hill, this beautiful Hindu sanctuary is surrounded by lush gardens. As the gleaming white marble architecture enchants you, learn about the symbolism of the temple's three domes, which represent the three approaches to the religion.

Concluding the tour, you will see the Akshardham and Lakshminarayan temples. To cap off this fascinating journey, a visit to Hawa Mahal, the stunning pink sandstone structure known as Jaipur's Palace of the Winds, will be included.
