Description

Your adventure begins at 5 am with a pickup from your Kigali hotel, followed by a scenic drive to Akagera National Park, a vital natural reserve in Rwanda. This three-hour journey allows you to enjoy breakfast in the jeep, complete with coffee and treats.

The safari will commence by exploring the most diverse ecosystems within the savannah, where you'll have opportunities to see elephants, buffaloes, zebras, antelopes, and impalas among a variety of other wildlife as you traverse the park.

Akagera is also renowned for its rich feline population, boasting a significant number of leopards and lions. Keep an eye out for other mammals like hyenas, jackals, and baboons, alongside the chance to observe herds of hippos!

Concluding the three-hour safari, you’ll proceed to a designated picnic area within the park. Here, you'll partake in a delicious lunch, featuring Rwandan burritos, samosas, fresh fruits, and banana cake. After savoring your meal, we will depart from the Akagera savannah and head towards Lake Muhazi.

As we stroll along the lake's shores, you can attempt to identify the prominent bird species residing in the region. Look out for the mousebird, the African white heron, and the grey-necked crowned crane. Keep your gaze upon the sky!

Ultimately, we'll return to your hotel in Kigali, expected to arrive around 5 pm.
