Reindeer Farm Experience

Our adventure begins at the designated meeting point on Leviraitti street in Kittilä. Here, we will travel towards a reindeer farm located on the outskirts of the town. Are you ready to meet these charming Lappish animals?

Once we reach the farm, we will be greeted by a knowledgeable guide who will share fascinating information about these exquisite animals. We will discover the methods of their care, learn about their behavior, dietary preferences, and much more.

In addition, we will witness their training, a key component that allows them to pull sleds, a well-known activity in the region. This highlights why they are often referred to as Santa Claus' drivers. Even though they are semi-wild, reindeer are among the gentlest animals found in Finland.

After this engaging visit to the reindeer farm, we will head back to our starting location in Kittilä, concluding our tour in approximately 2 to 2.5 hours.
