PADI Open Water Diving Course in Koh Samui

To earn your certification, the initial step involves passing an online theoretical examination before starting the practical training. You will receive access details in advance, allowing you to complete the coursework at home, saving valuable travel time.

Upon finishing the theoretical component, you’ll meet at the dive center in Koh Samui to embark on your PADI Open Water training.

Day 1: Practice in Confined Waters

The course begins with our pick-up service from your hotel in Koh Samui at 8:30 am to transport you to the dive center. Here, you'll complete a medical form before beginning the first practical session in a confined water setting. Are you ready to dive in?

With your gear on, we will transition to the pool where you'll practice various exercises covered in the theoretical section. Activities include assisting a buddy in case of an oxygen emergency, floating, correctly fitting the mask, and numerous other essential drills.

After this initial session, you will be returned to your hotel at around 2:45 pm.

Days 2 & 3: Diving in Open Waters

The second and third days will feature four open-water dives, crucial for fulfilling the requirements of your PADI Open Water course. Each day, we’ll collect you from your hotel at 7 am to take you to the dive boat.

Dive locations will include Koh Tao and Sail Rock, determined by prevailing sea conditions. These remarkable sites provide an excellent opportunity to hone your diving skills and obtain your certification.

You will learn how to properly don your equipment, conduct buddy checks, navigate under the water with a compass, and safely remove your vest while submerged. Additionally, you will explore various beautiful spots across the Gulf of Thailand, encountering its diverse marine life. Learning is most effective when it’s enjoyable!

Upon completing the exercises, we will return to shore where you will receive your PADI Open Water certification before we escort you back to your hotel at 3:30 pm.

Lunch

A delicious buffet-style lunch is provided during the course days, featuring rice, noodles, salads, fresh fish, and fruit.

Important Information

This program includes hotel pick-up for locations in central Koh Samui. For accommodations in the western or southern regions of the island, a supplementary fee of 800 THB (approximately 26 USD) per person will be required on the day of the activity.

If preferred, you are welcome to arrive independently at the designated meeting point.
