Tour Overview
You will be collected at the designated time from your accommodation in central Kraków, or from a nearby meeting location, and we will then embark on a bus journey to O?wi?cim.
Located adjacent to this town in southern Poland, not far from the Czech border, Auschwitz I serves as an infamous site of historical significance. Upon arrival, a guided tour will take you through this concentration camp for political prisoners. As you move through the various prison blocks, you will encounter the haunting starvation cells, where many prisoners perished from hunger.
Following this segment, a brief pause will allow you to reflect on the unsettling scenes you've encountered. You will then board the bus for a trip to the outskirts of O?wi?cim, where we will proceed to tour the Auschwitz II-Birkenau concentration camp. This site was a designated extermination center, established to implement what the Nazis termed the Final Solution to the Jewish issue.
During our exploration of this location, we will observe the prisoners' barracks, latrines, and remnants of the crematorium ovens and gas chambers. Additionally, we will see the tracks leading into Auschwitz, which were once filled with trains carrying prisoners who would not escape alive.
Throughout the tour, discussions will encompass World War II and its far-reaching social, economic, cultural, and political ramifications. We will delve into the significant events that culminated in this devastating chapter of the 20th century.
Ultimately, we will return to the original departure point in Kraków, concluding this 7 to 7.5-hour experience.

Documentation Requirements
- Ensure that the first and last names provided on your reservation match those on the national ID documents you will present on the activity day. Discrepancies will result in denied entry. If reservations are made separately, there is no guarantee of being grouped together.
- Tickets are non-transferable and only one modification per reservation is permitted. Changes are restricted to a maximum of 10% of attendees.
Guided Tours
- Only guides authorized by the camp are permitted to conduct the visits; external guides cannot lead the tours. The camp’s organization exclusively determines the assignment of guides and the languages they offer. In some cases, translation may be available for the selected language. The camp will decide the pace and duration of tours, which may be adjusted in response to inclement weather.
- Access with a guide is contingent upon meeting the minimum group size mandated by all tour operators; therefore, if this minimum is unmet, the tour may be canceled or rescheduled.
- Confirmation of the guide occurs at 3 pm on the day prior to the tour. Your reservation remains unconfirmed until a guide is assigned. We secure entry slots and a guide upon achieving the minimum group size; however, please note that last-minute reservations may not have guide availability, and the activity could be canceled. It is crucial to remain reachable at the phone number provided during reservation for any updates.
Schedule and Pickup Locations
During your booking, a dropdown menu will present various hotels and meeting spots in central Kraków. Should your lodging not appear on the list, select the closest option available.
Pickup timings are subject to change. Tours commence between 5 am and 1:30 pm; the time selected is not guaranteed. The specific pickup time and meeting location will be confirmed over email, WhatsApp, and other communication channels the day before the tour. Should the departure time alter, we will reach out. Otherwise, you can adhere to the originally scheduled time. Plan your day to accommodate the pickup schedule, with transportation being via bus or minibus depending on group size.

Important information
On the day of the activity, we'll meet you at the pickup point you chose during the booking process at the time indicated. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes in advance.
The pickup time may change, so you should take this into account when planning your trip. Even if you choose a departure time when you make your reservation, this time is not guaranteed, but we'll try to prioritize it. The exact pickup time will be confirmed via email the day before the activity.
Activity Restrictions
- Bags and backpacks larger than 30x20x10cm are not allowed in the field. They can be left on the bus or in the field locker.
- No person under the influence of alcohol will be allowed to ride the bus.
- Bringing food, having picnics, or littering in the camp is strictly prohibited. We kindly ask visitors to act with respect and common sense. Please remember that Auschwitz is a place where thousands of people lost their lives, and their memory deserves the utmost dignity.
Tour Lunch
During the tour, there are 2 or 3 stops of 10 to 15 minutes. We recommend bringing water with you. During the tour, you can also buy some cans or bottles at the stalls at the entrance of Auschwitz II-Birkenau.
Additional Info
- Due to the large number of visitors, the schedule may be modified. Please, it's essential that you have your mobile device fully operational in case of any such change.
- Visits to the camp are only permitted with guides authorized by the camp. External guides are not allowed. Guide assignments, including language availability, are managed solely by the camp's organization.
- All tour operators require a minimum group size to access the camp with a guide. If the minimum isn’t met, the activity may be canceled or rescheduled.
- We reserve your tickets and assign a guide as soon as the minimum group size is met. But for last-minute bookings, a guide may not be available, and the activity could be canceled.
- However, if there is any change in the departure time of the excursion, we'll notify you at least 15 to 24 hours before the activity.
Required Documentation
In accordance with the requirements of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, all participants must bring a photo ID with the same names used on the reservation. Entrance may be denied if the name on the reservation does not match the name on the ID.
