Auschwitz-Birkenau Small Group Day Trip
Description
Embark on a day excursion to Auschwitz-Birkenau, where you'll explore the most extensive network of concentration camps established by Nazi Germany, accompanied by a small group of no more than 12 participants.
Details of the Day Trip
During your stay in Krakow, a visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau is essential. At the agreed time, we will collect you from your accommodation and journey to this significant site, which provides an opportunity to understand and contemplate this sorrowful episode in 20th-century history.
This trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau will take place in a small group of up to 12 individuals. We will make our way to O?wi?cim, the town where this extermination facility was constructed, a place where over 1 million individuals lost their lives. Upon arrival, you'll have time to explore the outdoor exhibitions at your own pace.
Subsequently, we will reconvene to enter the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum. Here, you will see the barracks, latrines, and the railway lines where old train cars brought countless prisoners. You will also witness the remnants of the crematoria and gas chambers. Additionally, we will pass beneath the infamous “Arbeit Macht Frei” sign, translating to “work sets you free,” which greets visitors at the camp entrance.
After gaining insight into the implementation of the “Final Solution” orchestrated by the Nazis to systematically eradicate the Jewish population of Europe, we will return to our bus for the drive back to Krakow.
The day trip will conclude at your hotel after approximately 7.5 hours.
