Vistula River Free Bike Tour
Description
For those staying in Krakow and eager to discover the scenic beauty surrounding the city, the Vistula River Free Bike Tour offers an engaging experience. This excursion follows the pathway of Poland's longest river while uncovering some of Krakow's lesser-known attractions.
Details of the Free Bike Tour
At the designated time, we will gather next to the Eros Bendato sculpture to kick off our cycling adventure through Krakow's hidden treasures.
After selecting your bike, we'll depart from the heart of the city, venturing towards the monumental Wawel Castle before cycling westward along the charming banks of the Vistula River.
Continuing on, we'll pass by the remarkable Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel and cross the Grundwaldzkie Bridge, heading towards the Forum Przestrzenie Hotel. Here, we will delve into the rich history of this former Soviet establishment before visiting the family home of Pope John Paul II and stopping by Villa Odyniec.
Next on our itinerary is the Camaldolese Hermit Monastery, located atop the serene Silver Mount. We will take a moment to marvel at the striking white structures of the monastery set against the lush green of the forest, enjoying a refreshing lemonade while soaking in the peaceful surroundings.
As we continue, we’ll make our way to one of the highlights of our tour: the historic Tyniec fortress-monastery. Upon arrival, we will enter this Benedictine church to admire its exquisite Romanesque frescoes.
Finally, we'll cycle back to our starting point, concluding the tour approximately two hours after we first set out, where we will part ways.
