Overview of the Half-Day Excursion

Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup in Kuala Lumpur at the scheduled time, followed by a brief journey of around 35 minutes to Putrajaya. This purpose-built city was inaugurated in the 1990s as the new administrative capital, easing the congestion faced by Kuala Lumpur, and it now accommodates the majority of governmental ministries.

Upon arrival, your first stop will be the picturesque Lake Putrajaya, located centrally within the city. Here, you'll board either a traditional boat or a regular vessel for a serene ride, allowing you to bask in the beauty of your surroundings.

As you glide along the water, don’t miss the grand Putra Mosque situated on the shore. Take the time to appreciate its striking Islamic design, featuring intricate geometrical patterns that are sure to captivate you. The mosque, constructed from rose-hued granite with a prominent pink dome, is designed to accommodate up to 15,000 worshippers, and its minaret reaches an impressive height of 380 feet (116 m), making it one of the tallest globally.

Next, you'll have the opportunity to view the PJ Government Center, and right next to the mosque lies the Putra Perdana, which serves as the office for Malaysia's Prime Minister. Have you ever wondered about the construction of its large turquoise domes?

Your half-day exploration of Putrajaya will conclude as you travel back to Kuala Lumpur across the stunning Putra Bridge, celebrated as an engineering marvel.

By the end of this engaging tour, you’ll return to your hotel approximately four hours after your pickup.

Pickup Locations

This excursion includes pickup from various hotels in Kuala Lumpur. However, please be aware that a few hotels are excluded from the pickup service: Hotel Four Points by Sheraton Kuala Lumpur Chinatown, Hotel Olympic Malaysia, Hotel Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur, and Hotel YWCA Kuala Lumpur. Also, pickup is not available in the Pudu, ChowKit, KL Sentral, and Brickfields neighborhoods.

The pickup service is only available for bookings of at least two participants. If you happen to book for just one individual, the designated meeting point will be provided in the confirmation document.

Changes to Itinerary

It is important to note that the Putra Mosque is closed on Fridays, which means that only the exterior can be visited on that day.

Additionally, the sequence of site visits may be altered depending on traffic conditions encountered during your tour.
