Embarking on this evening exploration of Gion, we will unveil the enchantment of Kyoto's renowned geisha district, characterized by its delightful wooden houses as twilight descends.

Description

At the scheduled meeting point, we will gather at the corner of Kawaramachi Garden, right in front of the large clock, to initiate our evening journey through Gion, the geisha area of Kyoto. This locale is truly remarkable!

As we step into Japan’s most authentic neighborhood, we'll be greeted by the warm glow of traditional Japanese lanterns. Ever been curious about the inscriptions on them? We’ll delve into the rich culture and the fascinating streets of Gion.

Subsequently, we will wander through both the vibrant and the lesser-known paths of the district, including the meticulously preserved historic Hanamikoji Street. The sight of traditional wooden houses bathed in soft light will surely captivate you. We will also pass significant spiritual sites like the Yasaka Shrine.

As we proceed, the elegance of maiko, or geikos, the apprentice geishas, will be a highlight, allowing us to appreciate the intricate symbolism and hues of their attire.

Our evening exploration will culminate at Sanj? ?hashi Bridge, wrapping up our 3-hour experience.
