The Haruka Express serves as a vital railway service, efficiently linking Kansai International Airport with the key train stations in both Kyoto and Osaka. This ticket also grants access to travel among essential cities within the Kansai area and to Japan's historical capital.
Haruka Express Train
This train provides a direct connection from Kansai International Airport to several important stations within the Kansai region, including Nara, Kobe, Tennoji, Shin-Osaka, Osaka, and Kyoto.
Traveling from Kansai Airport to Tennoji takes about 35 minutes, 50 minutes to Shin-Osaka, and around 80 minutes to reach Kyoto. Experience a swift and pleasant journey, complete with ergonomic reclinable seats, complimentary WiFi, and ample luggage space.
How It Works
When booking, you can choose between two options: a one-way trip from Kansai Airport to Kyoto or Osaka, or a one-way trip from Kyoto or Osaka to Kansai Airport. In Osaka, you have the flexibility to disembark at either the main station or Shin-Osaka. Furthermore, stops along Kyoto and Tennoji are also available.
Post-booking, a voucher will be sent to you, which must be exchanged at designated machines at one of the stations listed to collect your train ticket.

Children Under 6
Children under the age of six can travel free of charge. Each adult passenger can accompany up to two children under this age. Nevertheless, children under twelve must always be with an adult.

Important Info

- Reserved seat coupons can be redeemed only once, and reserved seats must be redeemed separately (reservations are made at the green machine or the green counter).
- When the reserved seats are sold out or the reserved seat ticket has not been redeemed in advance, the ticket can be used to take a seat directly for free.
- HARUKA tickets cannot be used on any other Limited Express train that is not the Kansai Airport Express "HARUKA".
- Within the limits mentioned above, it is possible to take other trains besides the Kansai-Airport Express "HARUKA," such as Special Rapid Services, Rapid Services, and local trains.
- Please note that the non-reserved seat fare for the Limited Express is non-refundable if passengers use a train other than the Kansai-Airport "HARUKA."
- It is possible to get off the train at other stations within the service area. However, this is not an unlimited travel ticket, and additional charges will apply for further trips.
- Additional fares will apply when using trains outside the service area.
- When taking a reserved seat or using a first-class car (Green Car) on the Kansai-Airport Express "HARUKA," an additional Limited Express fee must be paid.
- Separate fees will apply when using a car or train that requires numbered boarding tickets.
- Children under 6 years of age may ride for free. Each paying adult may be accompanied by up to two children under 6 years old who meet the age requirement. However, children under 12 years old must always be accompanied by an adult.
