The Haruka Express serves as a vital link between Kansai International Airport and the principal train stations in Kyoto and Osaka. Holding this ticket not only facilitates your transit to these major cities but also allows for travel within the Kansai region and to Japan's historical capital.
Haruka Express Train Overview
This express service offers direct connections from Kansai International Airport to various key destinations in the Kansai area, including Nara, Kobe, Tennoji, Shin-Osaka, Osaka, and Kyoto.
Traveling from the airport, expect a journey of roughly 35 minutes to Tennoji, around 50 minutes to Shin-Osaka, and approximately 80 minutes to reach Kyoto. Enjoy swift and comfortable trips to your chosen destination!
Booking Process
When booking, you will have two choices: a one-way ticket from Kansai Airport to either Kyoto or Osaka, or a one-way ticket from either Kyoto or Osaka back to Kansai Airport. While in Osaka, you can conveniently disembark at either the main station or the Shin-Osaka station, as well as at any station in Kyoto and Tennoji.
Upon completing your booking, you will receive a voucher to be exchanged for your train ticket at machines located in one of the designated stations.

The Haruka Express operates on a regular timetable with departures approximately every 30 minutes:
- Schedule for trains heading from Kansai Airport to Kyoto or Osaka
- Schedule for trains traveling from Kyoto or Osaka back to Kansai Airport

A few hours after booking, you'll receive a voucher from our supplier Be My Guest in PDF format. If you do not receive it in 72 hours, we recommend contacting us through our contact form. On the day of the activity, you must show the voucher either printed or on your phone.

Important Info

- Reserved seat coupons can be redeemed only once, and reserved seats must be redeemed separately (reservations are made at the green machine or the green counter).
- When the reserved seats are sold out or the reserved seat ticket has not been redeemed in advance, the ticket can be used to take a seat directly for free.
- HARUKA tickets cannot be used on any other Limited Express train that is not the Kansai Airport Express "HARUKA".
- Within the limits mentioned above, it is possible to take other trains besides the Kansai-Airport Express "HARUKA," such as Special Rapid Services, Rapid Services, and local trains.
- Please note that the non-reserved seat fare for the Limited Express is non-refundable if passengers use a train other than the Kansai-Airport "HARUKA."
- It is possible to get off the train at other stations within the service area. However, this is not an unlimited travel ticket, and additional charges will apply for further trips.
- Additional fares will apply when using trains outside the service area.
- When taking a reserved seat or using a first-class car (Green Car) on the Kansai-Airport Express "HARUKA," an additional Limited Express fee must be paid.
- Separate fees will apply when using a car or train that requires numbered boarding tickets.
